Who: All registered Scouts and Scouters
Where: Black Walnut Bottom State Forestry camping area
When: April 14-15, 2018
For our April outing we will be camping along Pine Creek in the “Black Walnut Bottom” State Forestry camping area. This is a very nice camping area located on route 414 about 1.8 miles south of Slate Run. (GPS: N41.44794 – W077.51823) We have reserved the two campsites, #9 & #10, that we have used several times before. Saturday is the first day of trout season, so bring your fishing gear. Pine Creek is being stocked with brown and rainbow trout above and below where we are camping.
We will be carrying everything into our campsite. Please “BE PREPARED” this is a bit of a walk. Everything needs to be carried in and back out. We must also carry in all water being used for cooking, cleaning and drinking, so we will plan menus accordingly.
